Southwest Tech has once again demonstrated its commitment to educational excellence by being awarded the prestigious OKACTE Gold Star School award for the seventh consecutive year. This accolade is a testament to the continued dedication and hard work of the faculty, staff, and leadership at Southwest Tech.

The award ceremony, held in Tulsa, recognized the top-performing career and technology education institutions in the state. Pictured during the award presentation are key members of the Southwest Tech team, including Ericka Wiginton, Southwest Tech COO; Monica Cox, Southwest Tech Financial Aid Coordinator; Cassie Farr, Southwest Tech CFO; Dale Latham, Southwest Tech CEO/Superintendent; Christie Rogers, Southwest Tech Director of Student Services; and Jill Miller (Lazenby), Southwest Tech Director of Marketing and Communications. Presenting the award is Brent Haken, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education State Director and Skye McNeil, Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education Executive Director.

Dale Latham, CEO and Superintendent of Southwest Tech, expressed his immense pride in the institution’s continuous streak of excellence. “This recognition is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of our entire faculty and staff. I am incredibly proud of the way our team consistently goes above and beyond to create an environment where students can thrive and achieve their goals. Being awarded the OKACTE Gold Star School award for the seventh year in a row is a testament to the high standards of excellence we maintain at Southwest Tech.”
