Advisory Boards

Southwest Tech continues its commitment to student success by engaging with local industry leaders through its Advisory Boards. This week, Southwest Tech hosted its annual advisory board meeting, bringing together experts across various fields to provide valuable insights that will shape the future of technical education.

Advisory board members serve as mentors to Southwest Tech’s instructors, sharing up-to-date industry standards and offering guidance on program improvements. Their input ensures that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the demands of today’s workforce. By fostering strong connections between education and industry, Southwest Tech graduates emerge more employable and ready to contribute to their respective fields.

“All Career Tech programs across the state rely on the expertise of advisory boards to align their curriculum with real-world expectations,” said Dale Latham, Superintendent/CEO at Southwest Tech. “The feedback we receive from these industry professionals is essential in refining our programs and ensuring that our students are prepared to excel in their chosen careers.”

The collaboration between advisory board members and Southwest Tech instructors strengthens the school’s dedication to providing relevant, hands-on training that meets the evolving needs of employers. This partnership is key to maintaining the high standard of education that Southwest Tech is known for, while supporting the growth and development of its students.
