Southwest Technology Center is proud to announce Steve Forster, Construction Trades Instructor, as the November Employee of the Month. This honor is sponsored by Southwest Crop Insurance and Emily Worrell. Forster is pictured alongside Emily Worrell and Dale Latham, Southwest Tech Superintendent/CEO.
In his first year as a Construction Trades instructor, Forster has already made a remarkable impact on both his students and the Southwest Tech team. His vast knowledge of the construction industry, coupled with his dedication to creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment, has quickly earned him this recognition.
His nomination highlighted the following contributions:
Exceptional Instruction: Forster provides personalized, one-on-one guidance, ensuring each student receives the support they need to excel in both classroom and shop settings.
Effective Classroom Management: He has established a system where safety and engagement are top priorities. Students consistently follow safety protocols and remain focused on their projects.
Project Excellence: Under Forster’s leadership, students are working on diverse and challenging projects, including building a tiny house, deer blinds, and cornhole boards. These hands-on experiences equip students with practical skills essential for success in the construction industry.
