Southwest Technology Center is honored to announce Jacob Bogle, RN, as the Guest Speaker for the Practical Nursing Graduation Ceremony. The event is scheduled for Thursday, January 16, at 6:00 PM in the Francis Herrin Seminar Center of Southwest Technology Center. This milestone occasion celebrates the accomplishments of 16 dedicated graduates as they embark on their careers in nursing.
Jacob Bogle, RN, is the 4N Nurse Manager at Jackson County Memorial Hospital (JCMH) in Altus, Oklahoma. A proud resident of Duke, Oklahoma, Jacob lives with his wife, Mandy Bogle. His inspiring nursing journey is a testament to his commitment to patient care, leadership, and professional growth.
A 2005 graduate of Hollis High School, Jacob began his academic journey by earning an Associate of Science in Nursing from Western Oklahoma State College in 2008. He later achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012, further advancing his expertise.
Jacob began his career at JCMH in May 2007 as a nurse intern in the emergency department. After completing the internship, he transitioned to a nurse tech role on 4N. Upon earning his nursing license in June 2008, Jacob joined the 4N team as a registered nurse. His dedication and leadership led to his promotion to 4N Nurse Manager in January 2023, a role in which he continues to excel.
Throughout his career, Jacob has earned numerous accolades, including being named JCMH Employee of the Year in 2011 and receiving the prestigious DAISY Award in October 2013. Additionally, he has been nominated for the DAISY Award multiple times, reflecting his outstanding contributions to nursing and patient care.
Jacob’s inspiration for his nursing career stems from his mother, a nurse who instilled in him a passion for helping others. This passion drives him to mentor aspiring nurses, a role he fulfills by working alongside nursing students during their clinical rotations on 4N.
“This is a great honor, and I am proud to be selected by the graduating class to be the Guest Speaker,” Jacob shared. “I look forward to sharing my journey and encouraging these future nurses as they enter this rewarding profession.”
